Jean Mikenson "Mike"

Jean Mikenson—known to many as “Mike” or “Sonson”—is a natural builder who genuinely loves the process of creating, improving, and protecting homes. Born in Haiti and raised in a family where construction was a tradition, he learned early that a home is more than a structure—it’s security, legacy, and a place where life happens. After moving to the United States, Jean worked alongside his father, building his reputation on a simple standard: show up, do it right, and treat every project like it matters—because it does.

Jean brings a rare blend of craftsmanship, real estate expertise, and financial insight to every project. He is Building Technology certified through Atlantic County Institute of Technology, Xactimate Level 2 certified, and has been a licensed New Jersey real estate agent since 2006. He also earned his Master’s in International Accounting and Finance from EDHEC Business School, giving clients added confidence that their home—and their investment—are being handled with care and clarity.

Jean launched the Job Well Done Construction company at 18 and bought his first investment property at 19, experiences that shaped his mission: help families build, improve, and grow through property ownership. Today, through Mike ‘n Son Homes, he’s proud to deliver work clients can trust—and even prouder to teach the craft, pride, and values of building to his son, the inspiration behind the company’s name: a family-driven business built on skill, trust, and legacy.

Henri David "HD"

Henri David—known as “HD”—is the youngest builder on the Mike ‘n Son Homes team. Even as a toddler, he’s full of bright ideas and loves creating with whatever he can get his hands on, from toy blocks to everyday materials. He’s naturally curious about how things are built and enjoys learning the building process step by step.

Most importantly, HD represents the heart behind the company’s name: a new generation growing up around craftsmanship, pride, and the values that make a house feel like home—skill, trust, and legacy in the making.

We stepped in, developed a tailored proposal around their vision, and completed the remodel efficiently and on time. We also helped secure a long-term tenant and provided property management support. The client couldn’t be happier with our services.

Project: Mt. Laurel Condo

Mike 'n Son provides a warranty for our projects and do routine follow-ups to ensure that everything is working as they should. After promptly resolving a water pressure issue uncovered from a routine follow-up, the client simply stated: "You're a Genius"

Project: Garage Transformation

Mike ’n Son Homes transformed this outdated house into a modern, polished home. The team was punctual, highly skilled, and genuinely attentive to what the house needed. The entire process has been organized, seamless, and stress-free. They also caught several issues from previous work that had been done incorrectly and corrected them the right way—even the details most people would never notice. Mike ’n Son continues to go above and beyond to ensure everything is completed to the highest standard.
